![]() The power of green in Ipswich
Local dealership Cox of Ipswich and environment body Renewables East have announced a new link-up that is set to drive the people of East Anglia to consider the environmental impact of their motoring choices more carefully. Through a long-standing relationship with Saab and an interest in its revolutionary BioPower technology, Renewables East has signed up to Saab's Associate Partners programme, in the hope of encouraging its employees and colleagues to choose vehicles that are more eco-considerate. Renewables East is a company that brings topics such as climate change and energy security to the top of the region's agenda - investigating ways in which businesses and individuals in the East of England can work together to reduce the region's carbon emissions and encourage the use of alternative renewable energy technologies. James Beal, Managing Director of Renewables East said: "Cox of Ipswich and, internationally, Saab are leading the way for a lower carbon future and I am keen to encourage our colleagues, company members and clients to consider its bioethanol powered vehicles, which, in this region, we can be sure will be powered by low carbon and appropriately sourced biofuels. I hope this small step will be seen to be significant in our challenge to cut carbon emissions." Andrew Cox, Dealer Principal of Cox of Ipswich, added: "We are delighted to be associated with Renewables East and, as we are based in a region that has played an integral role in the production of bioethanol in the UK, it is our hope that our relationship will continue to promote bioethanol as a viable eco-friendly alternative to petrol in this region." |
